LILIANE DE VOOGD

One of my biggest passions is photography. In the summer of 2013, I was spotted by an employee of a café in Tilburg called Brandpunt. Here I was asked to become their photographer. First I had to sign up at the Chamber of Commerce. ‘Liliane de Voogd Fotografie' is the name of my own company since the 16th of September 2013. It was a big step for me, but I had nothing to lose.

 

From that sign up, everything went very quickly. Now I suddenly had to deal with the words "administration", "taxes" and "invoices”. It’s a big responsibility, but certainly an instructive case. From that moment I was the photographer of the cafés ‘Brandpunt’ and ‘Bolle’. I have made my own website and also a facebook page. With that website and facebook page, my brand awareness has increased. Before I knew it, I had many photography orders in a short time.

 

Now I am photographing in different categories: portrait, friendship, family, being in love, pregnant, married, parties, galas, products and so on. It's nice to have a lot of variety in your passion. I hope to gain more experience and learn more about photography. In my minor I want to participate in a photography club, to expand my knowledge about it.

 

Having your own company is increadibly instructive, which made me realize that being an entrepreneur is a special experience. You are responsible for everything, because you are the director of your own company. After two years I can handle responsibilities, manage a clear schedule and have experienced with different sales conversations. This made me to be flexible and adaptable to working hours and the different expectations of customers. Hopefully I will be able to continue this business in the future.

 

If you start small, you finish bigger.
