For the course Media Design we had to make an exhibition of ourselves. It was good to think about the vision, core values and characteristics of yourself. You get to know yourself well. My core values I could find quickly: optimistic, orderliness, entrepreneurial, disciplined and leadership. I received many positive responses, many people liked my exposition. It was nice to be able to use all my creativity in this big assignment. I came a step closer to myself…



Flashback - Event for the municipality of Tilburg
We organized an event for the city Tilburg. This began with a briefing by the municipality. In January 2012 they are started a major reorganization that affects all officials which are working for the municipality of Tilburg. The staff were of crucial importance and been faced with major changes. The municipality of Tilburg wanted to thank them for this year. For that reason they wanted to organize a nice event for their employees for the upcoming year. It should be a festive staff event that goes further than just food and drink and where personal attention is central.
We knew the target, purpose and conditions of the event. When we presented our concepts they were very enthusiastic. We have chosen for the concept ‘Flashback’, which has become very successful. We made long days and have worked well and effectively. We were all very flexible and enthusiastic, so collaboration went well.
Copywriting magazine
For the course Copywriting we have made an magazine. Through this magazine I have improved my creative writing. You think better of different things like the sentence structure, spelling and grammar. It is quite difficult to write very interesting, but I thought it was a nice challenge. Ultimately, I am very happy with the result. We wrote about talent, what everyone has to offer. Communication plans
I have made some communication plans during my study. The first communication plan is my assessment, which I have made on my own in my first study year. It was a cross media communication plan for a company called ‘FEMZ’. They organize workshops and city games everywhere. We had to find a solution for the problem of FEMZ. I had to think about new concepts to give the company more brand awareness. The second communication plan is for the company ‘PortAgora’. It is a humanitarian organization where it is important to give people work, notably volunteering. We have made the plan with a group of eight people. It was very educational to do this with a big group. I was the president in the project, where I had a lot of responsibility.
The third communication plan is made during the IEMES-week. We had three days to make the plan for a cinema in Tilburg, so it was a new experience to make this in a short period. During this project everyone could complement each other very well and I have used my creativity the whole time. During this project you could see that I'm a real team player. The last communication plan was of the company ‘Gallery op 11’, a small family business which provides a platform for young and old to show their art. During the project we have investigated the possibilities for the gallery to optimize capacity utilization.

Research paper VICE
This research paper was the last project of the semester in my second year. We had to find an interesting company for this project for making a research paper for them. We wanted to find a big organization with a lot of entertainment. We decided to do this paper for the company ‘VICE’. They were very enthusiastic. VICE is a monthly international magazine, which focuses on arts, culture and new topics. The issue that VICE.com had submitted is: "What is the review of current visitors of VICE.com?”. We made several surveys and went to friends and family who are visiting VICE.com to ask them to fill in the survey. We used the program ‘SPSS’ to see and process the results and to write a research paper about our findings. We have used two types of research, so finally it has become a really big research paper.
Filming
During my studies I have also made several films. The first movie I have made with another student was for the course 'Movie Entertainment'. The second movie I have made with two other students was for the course ‘Media Design’. For both movies I made roadmaps and scripts, which was very informative. I also noticed that the impression for both films were very important. It was a fun experience that I hope may experience more often!

As you can see I like to visualize very much. It is very nice to make impressions in mood boards. Below you can see my creations.





Advice reports
I have made two advice reports during my study: one about Corporate Social Responsibility at festivals and one about sports center Sportiom. For the courses Communication Theory and Communication Practice we had to make an advice report. In the first report I have answered the main question on the basis of several sub-questions. In the other report I have persisted the structure of a communication plan. It was very interesting to make an advice report, because because I got a lot to know about the company.
Copywriting
During the first semester of the fourth year of my study, we had to do different Advance Courses. Copywriting is one of the Advance Courses I have chosen. I've been very happy that I have chosen this course, because for me Copywriting was the best course of all Advance Courses I have followed. I have always loved to write, for as long as I can remember. I have definitely developed myself during the Copywriting lessons. We had to make several writing assignments for this course. Afterwards, we had to put the assignments together in one document. My teacher was really enthusiastic about my writing talent. Below you can see this dossier:
Concepting Plus
There were also a few mandatory Advance Courses in year four, including the course Concepting Plus. In this course we had to create a new model to develop concepts and to apply this model to a company. We chose the Primark for this assignment. I liked this Advance Course, because we could be creative and we had a lot of freedom. The model that we have developed is called ‘The Tasty Theory’. Creativity and Personality
The course Creativity and Personality was really interesting for me. I got to know myself better by following this course. During the course we had to develop a concept about ourselves. To create a good concept it was important to know yourself really good. Thanks to this course, it got totally clear to me, which things are of great importance in my life. Beforehand, I was not really aware of this. My concept is called ‘The Vintage Journey’. You can read this report below this text:

Special program week
In the first semester of year four we had to do two special program weeks. During these weeks we had to do an assignment for a company with a group that consisted of several students. We had to finish this assignment within four days and we had to present it for the company and some teachers during the last day. Both special weeks were really interesting. During the first special week we had to come up with a concept for the festival Paaspop. In the second special week we had to do an assignment for Festival Mundial. These weeks were instructive and totally different than what we would normally do. I am most proud of the concept we made for the second special week. You can read it below:

Strategic Communication Management
Another mandatory Advance Courses in year four is Strategic Communication Management. In this course we had to write a strategic communication plan for a company and branch of choice. I had chosen for the company Pinkpop and an intentional crisis situation. I created the situation when Pinkpop put people at places of risk, because Pinkpop wants to save money by spending less money on safety measures. It was interesting to work with issues and a crisis. For me this Advance Course was a bit hard, because it was not easy to write a good strategic communication plan. This was also new to our group, because we had no experiences in writing such a plan.
